    Description

Tulipa ‘Toronto’ has coral-pink flowers with a yellow center.

Multiflowering Tulips are a collection of cultivars, this is not an official class of tulips but part of the Single Late group. The main stems branches into secondary stems each having one flower. Based on the cultivar and the size of the bulb, a plant may produce 3-7 flowers. Multiflowering tulips vary greatly in plant height and size of the flowers.

Tulips are hardy and like other bulbs, easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. The blooms last longer in partial shade locations. The tulips can be planted in Fall when the soil temperature falls below 55F to make sure they root well. The best planting time is when the night time temperatures are between 40-50F. For best results, tulips need approximate 12 weeks of temperatures below 50F.
