    Description

Oxalis ‘Irish Mist’ has pure white flowers, clover-like green foliage with distinctive irregular white spots. Leaves will turn green at high light intensity.

There are over 800 species of Oxalis. Some are choice garden plants, others are noxious weeds. The word Oxalis is derived from the Greek word Oxis meaning acid. The leaves have an acid taste. Oxalis are easy to grow, many are grown as house plants in cold-winter areas.

Oxalis are hardy and like other bulbs, easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. The blooms last longer in partial shade locations. The Oxalis can be planted in Fall when the soil temperature falls below 55F to make sure they root well. The best planting time is when the night time temperatures are between 40-50F. For best results, Oxalis need approximate 12 weeks of temperatures below 50F.
