    Description

Fritillaria ‘Uva Vulpis’ has purple-maroon bell-shaped flowers with bronze-golden tips.

Fritillaria species differ greatly one from another. They have some of the most spectacular flowers, as well as some of the smallest and daintiest.  All of them exhibit bell-shaped flowers, generally hanging downwards from the top of upright stems which bear narrow leaves.

Fritillaria are hardy and like other bulbs, easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. The blooms last longer in partial shade locations. The Fritillaria can be planted in Fall when the soil temperature falls below 55F to make sure they root well. The best planting time is when the night time temperatures are between 40-50F. For best results, Fritillaria need approximate 12 weeks of temperatures below 50F.
