Chionodoxa (Glory-of-the-snow) cultivars are the first bulbs to flower in the Spring. They are very strong and grow well in almost all type soils. The foliage is quite similar to that of the Dutch Hyacinths. Chionodoxa tend to perennialize in climatic zone 4-7.Great for borders, rock gardens and under trees and shrubs.

Chionodoxa are hardy and like other bulbs, easy to grow in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. The blooms last longer in partial shade locations. The Chionodoxa can be planted in Fall when the soil temperature falls below 55F to make sure they root well. The best planting time is when the night time temperatures are between 40-50F. For best results, Chionodoxa need approximate 12 weeks of temperatures below 50F.
